CartCycle Terms of Service
These Terms describe the rules for using CartCycle, a household grocery prediction and planning service operated by CartCycle LLC.
Effective date: September 26, 2026
These Terms govern your use of CartCycle during the beta period and beyond. CartCycle LLC is a New Jersey limited liability company.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
CartCycle is operated by CartCycle LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company ("CartCycle," "we," "us," or "our"). The CartCycle service is available at mycartcycle.com.
By creating an account or using CartCycle, you agree to these Terms of Service and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service. The Privacy Notice explains CartCycle's current data practices and should be read together with these Terms.
- CartCycle is not directed at children under 18. If CartCycle becomes aware that a person under 18 has created an account, that account will be closed and associated personal data will be deleted promptly.
3. Account responsibilities
Provide accurate account information and keep it current. Protect your password and other account-security details, use a unique password, and tell CartCycle promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account, subject to rights that cannot legally be waived.
- By joining a shared household, members understand that certain purchase history, shopping plans, spending information, recommendations, and household activity may be visible to other authorized household members.
- The Privacy Notice describes the current boundary: household-scoped records can be visible to active members, while records without a household scope remain account-scoped.
- Household owners and members are responsible for inviting only people they trust and for removing access when it is no longer appropriate.
- Receipt images are processed transiently under the current Privacy Notice and are not stored as receipt images. Extracted and reviewed fields may be retained as grocery and planning records.
- You are responsible for reviewing extracted receipt fields and correcting or discarding them before relying on them.
- Historical and predicted product, price, quantity, timing, and spending information may be stale, incomplete, or inaccurate.
- Displayed prices are not guaranteed retailer prices and should be checked before purchase decisions.
- CartCycle does not place grocery orders or complete retailer checkout.
- A user must explicitly choose the next step after reviewing a plan or handoff.
- You remain responsible for the final purchasing decision and for checking the retailer’s current information.
- CartCycle prepares or facilitates a handoff only; it does not place grocery orders.
- CartCycle does not use retailer credentials, receive retailer credentials, or connect retailer accounts unless the product explicitly changes and these Terms are updated.
- Any retailer purchase is between you and the retailer, under that retailer’s terms and policies.
- You retain ownership of content you provide, subject to the limited service license in these Terms.
- Feedback you choose to provide may be used to improve CartCycle without creating a promise of compensation unless a separate written beta offer says otherwise.
- The purchase surface says: “Automatically renews monthly until canceled” and “Cancel anytime before your next renewal date.” Use the hosted customer portal to manage or cancel billing when it is available.
- A second household user is a separate $5.00/month family-plan add-on. Existing $5.00 family subscriptions must be handled compatibly and must not be silently invalidated.
- Founding-beta members receive CartCycle Plus at no charge — permanently. Founding-beta Plus access does not expire when the beta period ends and does not convert to a paid subscription. The only paid feature available to founding-beta members is the household member add-on, if they choose to add one. Billing terms, refund availability, cancellation timing, and price-change notice procedures will be disclosed before any paid add-on is activated. You will not be charged without explicit notice and consent.
- Approved beta testers receive Plus at no cost, with no beta payment, trial expiry, recurring charge, or retroactive charge. Lifetime Plus is earned only after four completed grocery cycles; failure to complete all four or closure of eligibility removes lifetime eligibility.
- "Lifetime" CartCycle Plus access for qualifying founding-beta members means continued access to CartCycle Plus for as long as CartCycle continues to operate the Plus feature. If CartCycle discontinues, substantially modifies, or transitions the CartCycle Plus feature, qualifying founding-beta members will receive at least 60 days advance written notice before any change takes effect. CartCycle will not convert a qualifying founding-beta member's Plus access to a paid subscription without their explicit written consent.
- No additional tester payment, prize, or compensation is promised unless it is defined in a separate confirmed offer.
- Feedback submitted during the beta may be used to operate and improve CartCycle.
12. Acceptable use
Use CartCycle lawfully and only for its intended purpose. Do not abuse, scrape, reverse engineer, probe, or disrupt the service; attack its security; upload fraudulent or unlawfully obtained receipts; automate access in a way that burdens or bypasses safeguards; impersonate another person; interfere with another household; or use CartCycle for unlawful, harmful, or deceptive activity.
13. Intellectual property and your content
CartCycle owns or licenses its software, service design, branding, and other product materials. You retain ownership of content you provide. You grant CartCycle a limited, non-exclusive right to host, process, reproduce, adapt, and display that content only as reasonably needed to operate, improve, secure, and protect the service, consistent with the Privacy Notice.
- Where appropriate, CartCycle may provide notice and an opportunity to resolve an issue, but it may act immediately when safety, security, fraud, or legal concerns require it.
- Termination does not remove obligations or rights that should reasonably continue, including payment obligations already incurred and intellectual-property or dispute provisions.
15. Service changes and availability
CartCycle may change, pause, remove, or discontinue features, plans, pricing, and availability. We may also change the product to improve safety, reliability, privacy, or the planning experience. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or preservation of every feature or record.
- Nothing in CartCycle is legal, financial, medical, nutritional, or other professional advice.
17. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, CartCycle's liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim or $10. CartCycle is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability exclusions, so these limits may not apply to you.
18. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) that CartCycle incurs arising from your unlawful use of the service, submission of fraudulent receipts, misuse of a household or account, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person's rights. This responsibility does not apply where prohibited by law.
19. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of CartCycle will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If negotiation does not resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may pursue resolution through binding arbitration or a court of competent jurisdiction, as required by applicable law. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief where warranted.
20. Changes to these Terms
CartCycle may update these Terms as the service changes or as legal review requires. For material changes, CartCycle will provide notice through a reasonable channel, such as an in-product notice or email to the account address, and will update the effective date. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them where permitted by law; if you do not agree, stop using the service and close your account.
21. Contact information
For questions about these Terms or your account, contact CartCycle at trycartcycle@gmail.com.
